30 Years and 30 Libraries

By Andy Thompson, Graphic Designer
Unlike many of my friends, I am downright geeked about my 30th birthday. Since it is right around the corner, for the past several weeks I have been pondering classy ways to mark the milestone.

My conclusion: a campaign of library tours in which I will call 30 Years and 30 Libraries. In the month of December, I plan on getting behind the scenes in 30 libraries and blogging about my adventures. I think I might even have a few custom t-shirts to wear on my various tours!

Of course, only appropriate for a bibliophile, my wishlist includes The New York Times Parent's Guide to the Best Books for Children (3rd edition) by Eden Ross Lipson, True Stories of Censorship Battles in America's Libraries edited by Valerie Nye and Kathy Barco, The Black Belt Librarian: Real World Safety & Security by Warren Graham, and Broken Pieces: A Library Life, 1941 - 1978 by Michael Gorman. Bwhahaha!

  2. Just curious as to which libraries did make the list. Have you posted it somewhere on the blog?

  3. Erin, I had a preliminary list posted prior to the scheduling but have since taken it down. I'll create a new post to serve as an index of sorts.
