Library School: Plan of Work

In Spring/Summer term of 2010, I began my academic tenure with the School of Library and Information Science at Wayne State University (American Library Association-accredited online program).

The Master in Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree consists of 36 credits with 18 credits in core classes and the remaining 18 credits tailored to the chosen concentration. My concentration: public libraries. However, my interest is specifically in rural public libraries.

In Winter 2011 term, I amended my Plan of Work to accommodate, in addition to a MLIS degree, a graduate certificate in Public Library Services for Children and Young Adults which requires a total of 42 credits.
