A friend, via facebook, recently inquired how I am managing to work full-time (with on-call responsibilities), hobby farm, pleasure read for literature to film club...and manage two graduate-level classes while maintaining a high GPA.
The answer(s):
I really do not have a "secret." Time management. Remaining focused. Tuning out drama.
I have been making a very strong and conscious effort to leave work at reasonable hours...sometimes even going into work a bit early to get projects tackled while midnight shift staff are still on-duty. A strict study schedule that keeps me on my toes has me doing a little bit each and every day so that I can attempt to have weekends to relax and refresh for the work week. I have also strategically used my vacation time, to my advantage, in order to wrap up big projects.
